He seems too simple-minded at times, but he has a strong sense of justice. At one point in his life, he was more carefree and simple of mind. However, current events seemed to have taken a toll on Sora, for given the right scenario, he takes the situation head on with a tone of seriousness to it. Despite this, much of his childish and upbeat nature remains with him to this day. Bluntly speaking, it wouldn't be Sora without it. Chosen by the fabled Keyblade, he carries a great responsibility upon his shoulders, as he is known as the key to everything. His skills with a sword is not something to laugh at either; with his youth he has much more room to develop and grow, and yet he has already been capable of toppling collosal forces that no one seemed to believe could be defeated. Sora has also, over a short period of time, proved himself worthy of being able to cast very powerful magic; spells that even Yen Sid himself would be proud of. Probably the one aspect of life that Sora cherishes above all else is friendship. He grew up with his best friends, Riku and Kairi, on the Destiny Islands since he was a very young child. There is a bond between the three that, no matter what the peril, could never be broken. He would do absolutely anything within his power to help anyone in need, and he will do it with confidence. But he prefers to not be alone. His friends, a will to protect others, and his heart is what keeps him going strong in the darkest of times. For the worlds that he swore to protect, and for the people that he loves; Sora wields the Keyblade proudly. [HISTORY] Like any other happy and innocent child, Sora was raised upon the Destiny Islands, without a care in the world with the idea that life was perfect just the way it was; everyone had fun, it was peaceful, and who wouldn’t enjoy carelessly floating through the crystal-clear waves that the tide brought in every day? To further add to his pleasantries, he met his best friend at a very young age; since then it seems like Sora and Riku could never be separated, always playing, always competing against each other, always playing with wooden swords as the brunette would always make it his goal to get better then Riku. Yes, for the longest time he remained carefree, happy as could be, and with optimism that was just boundless. The sky was the limit for him… That was until the limitations of the sky itself were shattered. Still early on in their childhood, Sora and Riku met with a mysterious girl who seemed to come out of nowhere… They had never seen her around the islands before. Wherever her origins, that did not stop Sora from practically immediately taking a liking to her; since the very first day that they met, this new girl, Kairi, was almost never too far away from wherever the boys may have been. The trio held a powerful friendship, one that would take a miracle to ever sever. Days would turn into weeks, weeks would turn into months, and months soon into years as their friendship together only strengthened. But there was always that one question that had been left to hide for so long… Just where did Kairi come from? And how come it appeared that she couldn’t recall it? For the longest time, the three assumed that it was an answer best left untold; until strange things began to happen to Sora… He’d been having these weird thoughts lately…at times he would even be questioning if anything was for real…or not; as complex as that may have seemed at the time. Bizarre dreams would come to him every now and then, dreams about darkness, struggling against it, and a mysterious voice beckoning to him and making peculiar claims… Only he could open the door to the light; for he possessed the mightiest weapon of them all. Most of the time these dreams would be disrupted by reality as he was woken up by friends. The last time that he had such a peculiar dream was when his friend Kairi soon woke him up afterwards. Sora was fourteen years old now, the same age as Kairi while Riku was fifteen. The redhead had always sparked an interest in Riku especially; for the idea that perhaps there was more to this world than just endless seas. He wanted more, much more, and he managed to convince his friends that they could travel to these new destinations together. Even if it meant that they would have to build a raft to sail somewhere else… The thought of exploring other worlds excited Sora to say the least, wishing that one day that he could see them all. In some ways…him wanting to see these new lands beyond the horizon was a wish soon to be granted. But at what a cost? His home, his family…even his friends. Mysteriously enough, it swept across Destiny Islands like the rapids, darkness and creatures manifested from the same entity appearing everywhere as they began to consume his world. The last time that he would see Kairi for a while, she seemingly passed right through him before disappearing; gone and out of his life just like that… But what about Riku? God good he could only hope that he wasn’t too late. However, before he could find him again, happening so fast…a mystical and unique weapon took shape in his hand. Keyblade…Keyblade...... With a weapon in hand to fend off this sinister creatures of the darkness, Sora ventured as far as he could, eventually finding Riku once more. The door had supposedly opened; which door exactly, he couldn’t quite understand, but before he could take his best friend’s hand, the world was consumed in darkness, and the boy was swept away, leaving behind memories of Destiny Islands, the people that he loved, and a place to call home. Everything was consumed and left to rot in seemingly nothingness. As fate was playing for the young brunette, Sora soon found himself awakening in a new world known as Traverse Town. Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t venture too far without encountering a man who wielded a rather intimidating Gunblade; having tested and taken Sora in after rendering him unconscious, he revealed himself to be a man known as Leon, along with the self-proclaimed greatest ninja, Yuffie. It was there that they managed to explain to the bewildered boy just what was going on. He was the Keyblade’s chosen one, and so long as he possessed the Keyblade, the Heartless which were the monsters that attacked Sora’s island, would continue to come after him. For there was darkness within every heart. No matter how seemingly pure one may have seemed. Eventually meeting with the soft spoken and yet graceful Aerith and the gruff and yet mechanically intelligent Cid as well, Sora was ready to venture forth to new worlds in hopes that he could find Riku and Kairi. Maybe then they could find a way to go home together; if there was anything left to call home… But Sora was not without partners and newfound friends on his journey, as quickly after encountering Leon and the gang, he met with Donald and Goofy, two individuals who were sent by their majesty in order to find the “key”; having found their Key bearer, they chose to remain with him, as new allies as he was the one chosen by the Keyblade. With his new friends by his side, Sora embraced his destiny and traveled to many worlds via the Gummi Ship, destroying the Heartless as he went in hopes that one day he would be reunited with his friends. And just maybe, he could take Riku’s hand without being swept away by the darkness that tore them apart. Lo and behold the boy’s luck, he did come across his friends again. Riku with a change of heart…and Kairi with a lack of one. There were many sinister and dark forces at work, many characters who plotted against the light and the one who was at the head of it all; Sora, the key to the light. Many times on his adventures he would cross through many worlds until his ventures finally lead him to a place that would hold more memories for the boy that would last him a lifetime. Hollow Bastion, later revealed to be the one place that friends like Leon and the gang called home…only to be taken over by the Heartless and Maleficent, the one who seemed to be heading this organization of evil. Upon arriving, Sora and his friends were quick to encounter Riku once again, who miraculously summoned his best friend’s own Keyblade. Baffled by what was happening, it was revealed that Riku was apparently the true Keyblade Master, while Sora was merely a ‘delivery boy’ sent to bring the weapon to its rightful owner. Humiliated, without a weapon except for a wooden sword (nostalgia was so cruel that day…), and even Donald and Goofy leaving him to follow the Key, he was left to confront the Hollow Bastion and find Riku again. But he wasn’t alone… Beast, a new face allied himself with Sora in an attempt to rescue one who was called Belle. He would serve as Sora’s strength to help him through this hard time. Fortunately, the two prevailed as they managed to catch up to him once more. Choosing that it was time that they ended this game, the corrupted boy attacked his friend, wanting to end this; that would not come to fruition however, as Goofy ultimately came to the conclusion that while he was ordered to follow the one with the Key, that he would never betray Sora either. Donald quickly followed suit, the trinity united once again against a common enemy. Even without the Keyblade, the boy vowed that friendship and the strength of his heart was all that he needed. His heart was his power. These touching words from the sweet boy brought about another miraculous turn of events, as the Kingdom Key returned to the one with the more powerful heart. Guided by light and with his friends by his side, Sora did battle with his long-time rival and best friend, only for him to escape. Together again, the three stormed Hollow Bastion even further, hoping that they could end this battle once and for all, and if Riku was here… Maybe Kairi was too. There was nothing left to lose besides the fate of the worlds… After confronting Maleficent and soundly defeating her, despite realizing that Riku felt different from before, and with a mysterious new dark Keyblade that had the power to unlock the darkness in one’s heart, the three managed to make it to a room with a peculiar looking vortex in the back. In the shape of a heart… Was this the final Keyhole that Maleficent and the other villains were trying to gain access to? It seemed like it, as the other Princesses of Heart were trapped as well, in a comatose-like state. But there was no time to watch as there was nothing Sora could do for them now. He could only press onward until finally, he confronted Riku once more…but not before realizing that a familiar face simply laid there. Kairi has truly lost her heart, not even awakening to the sound of Sora’s voice as he beckoned her to open her eyes. The Keyblade wielder had come to a rather hasty conclusion that the one that he had confronted was not in fact Riku at all. Claiming that he knew all there was to know, about Sora, about Kairi, and especially where her heart resided. Within Sora… In a sense, Kairi was inside of him all along, unable to awaken unless released by Riku’s own dark Keyblade. Like a leech, a parasite, a menacing entity revealed itself to be Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness, the one whom was truly behind this whole plot and who had claimed Riku’s heart and body for his own. All it would take was for Ansem to release and claim Kairi’s heart for his own, as she was the final Princess of Heart, to complete the Keyhole…opening the door and leading him into everlasting darkness. However, beckoned onward by Kairi’s voice calling out to him, the Keyblade’s chosen one would not surrender to the darkness, raising his weapon against Riku in the name of Kairi’s heart. The two clashed, Sora emerging the victor. With Riku defeated for now…there was still one more matter to attend to before he could continue onward; even if it meant at the cost of his own heart. With the power of the Dark Keyblade, Sora impaled himself, releasing not only the hearts of Kairi and the remaining Princesses of Heart, but also his own, in the end sacrificing himself to the darkness to rescue his friend. However, no good deed was left without it’s reward. Swallowed up by the darkness, the boy’s heart lost, and with nowhere else to go, he was soon transformed into a Heartless himself. And yet there was still something familiar about this one being that looked so similar to the rest. Someone whom Kairi could still recognize after being awoken and rescued. Where that empty hole was within Sora’s hollow state, the Princess of Heart held the key; an embrace was all that it took for the Keyblade’s chosen one to be reborn, with a heart of his own, and a heart for Kairi herself. One piece of his mission to crusade about the worlds for the ones that he loved was complete… However, there was still another lost one to restore. Riku’s heart was still claimed by Ansem. Once he defeated Ansem, it was possible that the gate between worlds would become closed off, and that he would never be able to see some of his friends again as they became separate from the rest of the universe… Sora was ready to accept this turn of events if it meant that peace was restored, and he could have his friends back, his home back, everything back… Destiny would forever bind the hearts of two individuals together, beyond the vast skies, always on their mind, to never forget. Kairi entrusted her lucky charm to Sora, asking him to bring it back to her when all was said and done. One way or another, she would always be with him… And so, with the final keyhole sealed at Hollow Bastion, the trinity of Sora, Donald, and Goofy took off for the End of the World, a mysterious void where Ansem resided with the captive Riku. Storming the bizarre world and reaching the source, passing on through a doorway, the Keyblade wielder reached his final destination… The Destiny Islands, or at least an illusion of his world…or was it? Teased once more by Ansem’s tomfoolery with Riku’s body and heart, the Seeker of Darkness proclaimed that every heart would return to darkness, as it was the heart’s true essence. However, Sora would be quick to retaliate, countering his argument with the idea that despite the heart’s weakness, there would be a light that never faded. This opposition of ideals led to an epic battle with the sake of all worlds in the balance. Through determination and the power of his friends by his side, the trio prevailed against Ansem as he desperately tried to claim the power of Kingdom Hearts (the heart of all worlds) for himself. Hell-bent on being filled to the brim with supreme darkness, it was in this defining moment that Ansem would discover that Kingdom Hearts was truly an entity of light. With the heartless being exposed to the intense power of the heart of all worlds, and seemingly being obliterated, it seemed that the long battle was finally over, the worlds liberated from the veil of darkness that threatened to swallow them whole. However, there was still one more task at hand before they were finished. Kingdom Hearts needed to be sealed, the darkness on the other side of the world needing to be closed off, supposedly ending the threat of the Heartless once and for all. Surprisingly, old friends would be reunited once more, but on opposite sides once again. Only this time…it was the same smile that he knew, the smile and eyes of his true best friend. Ansem’s defeat had seemingly freed Riku, now lost on the other side of the door, in the darkness. Together, as the once absent King Mickey fended off the Heartless to bide time for them to finish, Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Riku together closed the door to Kingdom Hearts; the last thing that Sora had heard from the silver haired boy was for him to, “Take care of her,” The two Keyblade wielders, Sora and the King, sealed Kingdom Hearts, seemingly restoring peace and order to the worlds once and for all. Despite everything having been set right, it seemed that there were still a few unsolved mysteries that needed to be revealed. Leaving Kairi to await Sora and Riku’s return on the Destiny Islands, the fate of the trinity was wiped clean, so to speak…another adventure was on the horizon as the three followed Pluto whom had a letter from the king. Under a star-kissed sky, the young boy would come face to face with an enigmatic hooded man who offered the ominous advice of, “Ahead lies something you need…but to claim it, you must lose something dear.” Beckoned by those words, Sora soon discovered a mysterious castle. Sadly, the young teenager wouldn’t have much time to ponder such words… …as everything faded to black. Like a piece to the puzzle forever lost, Sora and his friends would fall into a deep state of slumber, their memories of the events transpiring within Castle Oblivion, and to the very end when he had promised to protect someone, even if he realized that it was all a lie, to be there for Naminé; everything that he experienced within that Castle…was gone. A year would pass before the Keyblade Master would awaken alongside his companions, the last thing they could remember was defeating Ansem, sealing Kingdom Hearts, and beginning their search for the King and Riku, having unfinished business to attend to. Even Jiminy Cricket’s journal had been wiped clean, the only message to begin with being, “Thank Naminé.” After making their way out of the mansion, Sora, Donald and Goofy found themselves in Twilight Town, a location during his forgotten adventures within Castle Oblivion that explored the memories of the other side of his heart, but what exactly was the other side? There was only one true Sora…wasn’t there? Or was there something more to this whole ordeal? Having established a friendship with three children around his age in town, the trinity were quick to find a lead on the King’s whereabouts, heading for the local Train Station. And yet one could only come so close before being dragged so far away…it happened all so suddenly, but the three were ambushed by mysterious white creatures, monsters of the likes he had never seen. They weren’t even Heartless… And yet they had every intention of ripping them apart just like the enemies they encountered before in the past. They seemed to be more cunning then other monsters they fought and eventually their numbers proved to be too great, having been resting for a year had taken it’s toll on the trio as they grew exhausted. He had just woken up…it shouldn’t have ended this way; and fortunately for him, it wouldn’t have to as a mysterious little person swept in to deal with the oncoming forces that threatened to destroy Sora and his friends. Much to Sora’s surprise, he realized that the person was wielding a Keyblade as well, in fact, it looked identical to Sora’s only inversed colors. The big round ears were also a dead giveaway. They had found their King, but the meeting between them would not be a long one as Mickey ushered for them to keep silent when making mention of who he was, much to their confusion… Offering Sora a bag filled with over 5,000 Munny and a radiant crystal blue orb. With the King out of sight once again, the three entered the train station in order to purchase tickets, greeted by Hayner, Pence, and Olette. It was a somewhat sad departure as Sora could feel a tear begin to stream down his face, although he was quick to catch onto his moment of weakness before attempting to toughen up again. Reassured by Donald and Goofy that they’d meet them again, Sora held his head up high as they traveled along the railroad tracks before coming up to a mystical tower. It seemed to be if there was any good location to being their search, it was this place…as this was where the magical train had guided the trinity. Outside the tower, Donald and Goofy quickly realized that they had company in an old acquaintance, unfortunately. Pete, a wicked individual that once knew the King, had once been banished to another dimension until the heartless Maleficent bailed him out. It was his intent on turning the powerful sorcerer that resided in the tower into one magnificent specimen of a Heartless. It came as a shock for the three of them as they once believed that the Heartless were no longer a threat. But once again, the three would do battle with familiar monsters, soon storming the tower in an attempt to flush the black creatures out of their, thus saving the sorcerer inside. Upon arriving, they were greeted by Master Yen Sid, whom was responsible for tutoring Mickey in his vast magical prowess. He was also very wise and contained vast knowledge of the challenges that would soon lie before them; it was then that Yen Sid informed Sora that he was the Key to everything, so to speak. Shortly into their visit with the powerful wizard, the trinity were informed about the enemies that they would face in their travels, to make their way beyond the boundaries of Twilight Town and explore new and familiar worlds. Among these new foes was the Nobodies (the enigmatic white creatures that they previously encountered) and Organization XIII, a group of elite Nobodies with the capability of retaining a human body and enhanced powers, however at the loss of their hearts and the ability to feel, like all Nobodies. In truth, they the non-existent manifest into a physical form. Together they would be working towards a goal…of which Yen Sid wasn’t quite certain what, but it was up to them to find Riku, the King, and as well put the balance of the worlds into check once more…as well as remain on the lookout for Heartless that would threaten to claim their hearts and sent them into everlasting darkness. With Sora’s attire outdated after outgrowing them in a year’s time of slumber, he was bestowed with new clothes and new powers, such as the ability to synchronize his heart with another to usher in a new transformation, such was displayed when Sora combined with Goofy to demonstrate the Valor Drive, in which his physical strength was greatly increased as well as obtaining the ability to summon two Keyblades at once in battle. Unfortunately at the time being it was the only ability unlocked to the young man as he would have to discover the rest of his clothing’s new powers and unlock them as his journey progressed forward. Yen Sid left with closing remarks about the challenges they would face, as well as a familiar sight in the form of a Gummi Ship. Now they had a way of traveling to other worlds! Bidding their farewells to the sorcerer, Sora took off on a new adventure, his first destination with his friends taking him back to the familiar world of Hollow Bastion. It was there that he would become reunited with his old friends, including Leon, Yuffie, Cid, and Aerith. It was in Hollow Bastion that the trinity would find themselves up against more Nobodies as well as a confrontation with the Organization for the first time since they took off on their quest. It was apparent that he had a threat in the men in black… Sora’s Keyblade would eventually open the path to more worlds, further broadening his horizons to uncover the mystery behind the Organization and their intentions, as well as find Riku and the King once more. Kairi was waiting for them to come home…someday. Traveling to many worlds old and new, Sora would begin to unravel the mystery that surrounded the Organization, especially the confusion that took place when he was occasionally called Roxas, a person whom Sora believed to never know in his entire life; like Naminé before him… Some time shortly after returning to Hollow Bastion once again on his journey, Sora, Donald and Goofy were reunited with King Mickey on a friendlier note without any diversions and hidden identities; it was revealed that the Organization could very well have been listening in on the King…for what reason, he did not quite get to mention. Upon discovering the database of Ansem, the King quickly reveled in the knowledge of a familiar face, acknowledging a more elderly man as Ansem the Wise; confused, Sora would discover the truth about their past adventure. The man that Sora and his friends defeated, was actually a Heartless, a manifestation of Xehanort who was Ansem the Wise’s assistant. Discouraged that they defeated nothing but an imposter, not all was for nothing as the Heartless STILL needed to be stopped from obtaining Kingdom Hearts. Soon after, Sora and his friends were in peril once more as the Heartless, in fact, an army of the creatures, thousands upon thousands of them, laid siege against the Hollow Bastion. And so would begin what could be dubbed as the, “Heartless Wars”. In the process of fighting against the odds, the Keyblade wielder was faced once again with a member of Organization XIII; Demyx who followed orders in an attempt to dispose of the ‘traitor’, much to Sora’s confusion. Nonetheless, the trio were triumphant in defeating Demyx as they pressed onward with the King. The fate of the worlds, and the battle for all existence would soon get climactic… Another member of the Organization, soon realized to be their leader, was pointed out by King Mickey as Xemnas, the Nobody of Xehanort. As he pursued the leader of the Organization, Sora, Donald and Goofy were left to handle the oncoming Heartless in their vast numbers. Eventually they would triumph and press onward in the fight, only to encounter Saïx whom taunts Sora with how he had taken Kairi away from him, provoking his anger to destroy more Heartless for them as they become closer and closer to their goal. Kingdom Hearts. With enough hearts released by the Keyblade against the many numbers of Heartless, they would be able to empower Kingdom Hearts in an attempt to obtain their own hearts, feelings, everything they once owned, back; they would remold. Their methods of moving however, were rather questionable and a temporarily broken Sora without a method of fighting the Heartless, couldn’t use his Keyblade to fight against the Heartless… It wasn’t until Donald and Goofy convinced him to continue to use the weapon that he was destined for, since they would confront Organization XIII and defeat them anyway, that he chose to bring up his sword once more, continuing his search for Riku and to rescue Kairi, bringing down the Nobodies once and for all. His travels with Donald and Goofy soon took them to Twilight Town once more, discovering that there was an alternate version of the world. With the help of Hayner, Pence, and Olette they were able to reach the alternate Twilight Town, many things to note about the mansion being different. Through a portal of darkness, Sora and the others were able to venture into a midway point, stopped once more by countless Nobodies. Eventually in their struggle, they would be allied with Axel after he informed them of Saïx of the Organization; the one who confronted Sora at Hollow Bastion about Kairi and working for them. After a noble sacrifice from Axel and opening the portal to the home base of Organization XIII, he apologized to Sora for everything that he had put him through, kidnapping Kairi, everything, despite the fact that he couldn’t feel regret. He had wished to see Roxas, claiming that he was the only one that he truly liked…the only one who made him feel like he truly did have a heart, as Sora did the same thing for him. Venturing onward into The World That Never Was, Sora would eventually come across a duel that he couldn’t refuse…rather, he had no choice. In a climactic clash with the mysterious member of the Organization, whom only spoke with cryptic speech such as, “Someone from the dark,” or claiming that he had defeated somebody by the name of Riku once. In a moment of truth, while the Keyblade wielding opponent seemed to have the upper hand, it would be Sora who would emerge triumphant in the end, discovering that it happened to be Roxas himself… “You make a good other,” he had said to Sora before everything faded to white, as the boy found himself back in reality, back in a world that never existed… Creating a path as the King went on ahead, Sora and his friends stormed the stronghold of Organization XIII in search of Kairi, eventually he would be reunited with her after defeating Xigbar, eventually reuniting with Riku (whom had gone under a transformation into Xehanort’s Heartless in appearance to become one with the darkness) as well… It was a tearful reunion for the three as they all pressed onward to confront more Organization members, until finally, there was only one more left. Upon confronting Xemnas who had happened upon Ansem the Wise (whom went by the enigmatic name of DiZ) in an attempt to digitally seal away Kingdom Hearts, the power of the hearts proved to be too unpredictable, causing his machine to malfunction before causing a massive explosion, destroying himself and a piece of Kingdom Hearts as well; it was through this that Riku miraculously got his own appearance back, the blindfold that once covered his face slipping off to reveal how much he had truly grown over the past year. Shedding his coat, Riku with Sora and the others moved forward to defeat Xemnas once and for all. Following the initial confrontation with Xemnas with everyone by his side, Sora would bare witness to Roxas and Naminé, realizing that Naminé was actually the Nobody of Kairi, and that Roxas completed him… But no matter what, they would never fade away, through the hearts of Sora and Kairi. As Kairi, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, and Mickey escaped through a portal, back to the Destiny Islands believing that the adventure was finally over. Before the two Keyblade masters could escape, they were trapped by Xemnas who was actually still alive.
